CCIE #20655

I suppose the post title is a dead give away, but I’ll go ahead and give you the news:  Ethan passed the lab exam is now CCIE #20655.  By now, you’ve also realized that this isn’t Ethan posting, either.  Why?  Simple: he doesn’t have the strange habit of talking about himself in the third person.  This is Ethan’s wife, posting for him.  He called me this evening to help him access the test results as he took his crackberry with him, but not his laptop.  He will be back tomorrow and will post all the about the experience for himself.

Awesome, I wanted to post earlier but was at a public “all your passwords are belong to us” terminal. After seeing your dedicated preparation it’s good to see you passed (would have scared me otherwise). Now you just have to figure out what to do on the weekends.

To quote my wife when I told her you passed, “You need to pass soon too; I want my husband back.” Enjoy, bask, rub co-workers faces in it.

  8. Arden Says:

That is awesome news! A Big congratulations! You have earned it. Gives me hope for mine next week!

  9. ccielab Says:

Great news! I dont think anyone doubted that you would do it first time around, the amount of dedication that you have shown has been awesome, right the way through from the written to the lab!

Now, can you bottle some of that up an send it over here for me!!

    Congratulations Ethan.

You deserve this having prepared soo well. And as someone already said, it would have been scary to others if you had failed first attempt.

Now, it’s time to relax and spend some more time with your family.

Falconup from ‘My CCIE Training Guide’ passed on 04/18 as #20572, and now Ethan on the 29th as #20655 for a difference of 83 with 6 exam days separating them. Roughly 14 new CCIE’s a day?

  23. markman Says:

On second thought, judging from Human Modem’s passing on 01/08/2008 and his #19747 number, relative to #20655 over the number of workdays between them, it works out to about 10.2 CCIE’s per lab day.
